Biography

Andrew holds an M.F.A. from Penn State University with a focus in Theatre Technology and has a B.S. from Towson University with a focus in Lighting Design. He has been working professionally in theatre for over 20 years and in academia for over 15 years.

Before coming to Penn State, Andrew worked as the Master Electrician at Everyman Theatre in Baltimore while simultaneously working at the University of Maryland?s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. He was the Assistant Manager of Electrics at CSPAC and was in charge of the Electrics Shop as well as the Coordinator Of Safety for the Center. He left CSPAC and became a faculty member at Howard Community College where he was the Head of Design and Technical Theatre program and was the Resident Lighting Designer for the Student Arts Collective.

Past profession design credits in both regional and academia theatre include work at Everyman Theatre, Rep Stage, Deep Vision Dance Company, Student Arts Collective and Arts Collective Dance Company, and Loyal University Of Maryland. Past theatrical work includes Center Stage, Hopkins Theatre, Spotlighters Theatre, Cockpit in Court at Essex Community College, and Baltimore Theatre Project.
