    Motor-driven drum, dolly mounted, 5000w lamp.
    Donated by Century-Strand (1971).

    Perforated drum, revolving at variable speed.
    Axially mounted lamp.

I-10P03   RANK STRAND Ref. 342, TUBULAR RIPPLE EFFECT MACHINE
    1000w self-contained unit.
    Donated by Century-Strand (1971).

I-10P04   MOTORIZED FIRE EFFECT DISC (for 6" instrument)
    Variable-speed motor also has gear box with two
    speeds "forward," two speeds "reverse." Friction rim
    drive.

I-10P05   CENTURY MOTORIZED EFFECT DISC (for 6" instrument)
    Variable-speed axially mounted motor.  Ribbon disc
    from MATA HARI.

I-10P06   CENTURY MOTORIZED EFFECT DISC (for 6" instrument)
    Variable-speed motor, side mounted.  Case only, disc
    is missing.

I-10P07   PROJECTOR, ARC CONVERTED TO INCANDESCENT
    Double 9" PC condenser, triple PC objective.
    Worm-drive focus, lateral focus; rigged for chassis or
    pipe mounting.
    Donated by Century-Strand.

I-10P08   GKP 1500w PROJECTOR
    Designed by Paul Planer. Motorized slide changer
    (turret plate type), variable speed. Shutter trips
    automatically with slide change.  Uses 3-1/4" X 4"
    ("lantern") slides.
    Donated by Century-Strand (1971).

I-10P09   GKP 1500w PROJECTOR
    Similar to P8, but in poorer condition, many parts
    missing.

I-10P10   4KW XENON PROJECTOR (Century-Strand)
    Built for the 1972 production of VIA GALACTICA at
    the Uris Theatre, New York (director, Peter Hall;
    production designer, John Bury; lighting  designer,
    Lloyd Burlingame).  Based on a Cinemeccanica Zenith
    X4000 Type 403 lamp housing, mounted on a special
    chassis, equipped with a Rank Audio-Visual rectifier
    and assorted motorized effect devices from Strand
    Electric:
		 a) Slide carrier.  Two overlapping 5" discs
                    are rotated in opposing directions.  Motor
		    240V 60rpm.

                 b) Two Strand Electric effect discs,
                    adjustable speed set at 1 rpm.  17-3/8"
                    disc.  Axial friction drive (flywheel).
                    Motor 120V, geared 24/56.

                 c) Two slide changers, horizontal movement,
                    each for three lantern-size slides.

                 d) Two double-crescent auxillary dousers.

                 e) Slide carrier for 6-1/8" disc (could be
                    rotated by friction drive) and/or
                    rectangular slide, 3" X 4".

                 f) Pyrex spread lens, 100 percent, 9" square.

                 g) Two 40cm motorized pan slide carriers and
                    remote control boxes.  Several of the
                    original slides (e.g., moving fields of
                    stars) are also part of the collection.

    Companion unit to P10.

I-10P12   CENTURY No. 1177G LINNEBACH PROJECTOR
    5000w for 41" X 31-1/2" slide, 94 X 72 degrees
    spread. One of two built.
    Donated by Century-Strand (1974).


I-10P13   STROBE ACCESSORY
    A variable speed 27.5V motor turns a knurled wheel,
    pulsing a switch.
    Donated by Century-Strand (1971).
