Ph.D. from University of Oregon in 1989. Annie joined the faculty of Penn State's School of Theatre in 1996 after teaching for seven years at Purdue University in Indiana. Since arriving, she has been the dramaturg for several School of Theatre productions. She has also been the dramaturg of Death of a Salesman and Collected Stories for Pennsylvania Centre Stage.

She is also an actor and director, her most recent directing projects being Julius Caesar, Bad Girls, the first Off-Center production, and The Waiting Room. When not involved in the production program (and even when she is) she oversees the Theatre 100 experience as well as teaching undergraduate acting and graduate seminars in dramatic literature.

Recipient of Penn State’s George W. Atherton Award for Teaching Excellence.
