A student of Dr. Oscar Brockett, C. Patrick holds a Ph.D. in Theatre History/ Criticism/Theory/Text from the University of Texas at Austin, issued in 2002, a M.A. in Playwrighting from Miami University at Ohio and a B.A. in Theatre from Wabash College. C. Patrick's dissertation is entitled "August Wilson's Play Cycle: A Healing Black Rage for Contemporary African Americans." Some of C. Patrick's favorite classes taught include African American Theatre History, August Wilson and Black Rage, and various versions of Introduction to Theatre. An actor, playwright, director, and scholar, Dr. Tyndall's most recent major publication was a chapter in the August Wilson collection, August Wilson and Black Aesthetics.
