Associate Professor of Costume Technology/Design in the School of Theatre. Throughout a 30-year career in the field of theatrical costuming, Suzie has worked in a variety of venues including educational theatre, professional theatre on the regional and national level, and commercial manufacturing of architectural soft goods and dancewear.

Educational theatre work includes faculty-teaching positions at Illinois State University, the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Beaver College and Penn State.

Professional work includes execution of various costumes for the 2002 Cervantes Production of Man of La Mancha on Broadway, Pennsylvania Centre Stage, The Manhattan School of Music, Papermill Play-house, Louisville Opera Theatre, New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, the McCarter Theatre, and the Princeton Ballet.

Prior to coming to Penn State, she spent thirteen years as a costumer in the New Jersey/New York City area collaborating with Walt Disney Theatrical Productions on the mounting of The Lion King on Broadway, Nickelodeon Studios on their annual production of A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Garden, Macy’s Department Stores on their annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Hershey Park Entertainment.
