Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Management

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Stage Management is one of the oldest four year undergraduate degree programs in stage management in the country. Built on the principle of total immersion in the theatre, students who complete the program will have received training in virtually every area of the live theatre experience. Hands on craft classes along with acting, directing, design, literature and history round out the student's experience and provide true breadth and depth in theatre training.

Headed by a professional stage manager, students are mentored directly into the production process. Graduates have gone on stage manage on Broadway, off Broadway, National and International Tours, major event companies such as Radio City Music Hall and Cirque de Soleil, and regional theatres around the United States.

Additionally, Penn State's commitment to general education remains one of the strongest in higher education. Students who graduate from Penn State will have had vigorous exposure to math, the sciences, social sciences, physical training, and literature as well as the arts and arts training.
