Minor in Dance
The dance minor at Penn State is a modern based program focusing on technique
and performance. Students have the opportunity to perform in pieces created
by faculty, be a member of the University Dance Company, create their
own pieces for performance, and attend national conferences.
Classes range from technique in modern, ballet, jazz, and tap, to improvisation,
composition, repertory, dance history, and movement analysis. Students
may also supplement their dance training with classes in the theatre program.
Entrance into the minor is by audition only.
